What was expected to be a happy moment turned out tragic for the Kamaus in Dallas


What was expected to be a happy moment turned out to be tragic after a woman flying from Kenya to visit her family in the US fell ill in the flight and died.

Hannah Kamau who was in a flight to Dallas, Texas died on September 18th, 2018. She is the mother to Alice Kamau from Dallas, Texas, aunt to John Ngang’a, Patrick Nganga, Kui Waya, Anne Gitau and Richard Gatitu of Dalla, Texas, George Ngaga of Seattle, Washington, and Steve Ngaga of North Carolina.

Her daughter, Ms Alice Kamau, told the Nation her mother had not complained of any signs of illness before she embarked on the journey in Nairobi.

“I spoke to my mom just before she boarded the flight in Nairobi and she was in a jovial mood because she was finally coming over to see us, especially her grandchildren. At the time, she didn’t complain of anything. Therefore, it was a total shock to me when I was told that she had died,” said Ms Kamau.

The bereaved family and friends are conducting meetings up to 22nd September form 7 pm at 1039 Carlisle Dr, Allen TX 75002. The family will hold a memorial service for the Hannah Kamau on Sunday 23rd at 4pm at Neema Gospel Church (7815 Arapaho Rd, Dalls TX 752480.
