‘What a shame’ Kenyans mock sh 450K car manufactured by Laikipia County

Kenyans online on Thursday aired their disappointment after Laikipia County showcased two of it’s locally made cars at the ongoing Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga County.

The county displayed its invention dubbed the ‘BJ-50’, but Kenyans online laughed it off and called it embarrassing.

According to Governor Ndiritu Muriithi, the ‘tuk-tuk’ can carry up to seven people and costs Sh450,000.

The County also said that the car has a cruise speed of 70 Km per hour, carries up to seven people and already has 26 orders from “influential personalities” who were not named.

Kenyans mocked the county for the effort saying that while neighboring countries are making electric cars, Kenyan is stuck in Henry Ford’s era.
