She Quit A Prestigious Job As a Financial Analyst in Silicon Valley to Start First Nigerian Food Restaurant in San Francisco

A former Silicon Valley financial analyst has taken a leap of faith aimed at filling in a much-needed gap in the Bay Area’s food scene.

Simileouluwa Adebajo quit her job as a financial analyst to make this dream come true, by founding Eko Kitchen.  She seeks to “stay as close to home as possible,” developing recipes she learned from her mother as well as her two grandmothers.

The restaurant has been fulfilling its last Uber Eats orders as they work toward opening its brick and mortar, and the menu offerings are mouth watering—from goat pepper soup, jollof and suya to ofada stew, efo-riro and agege bread topped with Nigerian-style egg sauce with mackerel.
