Nigerian Artist Patoranking Awards Kenyan With Full Scholarship To Study At African Leadership University

Emmanuel Ekworoit is a happy man after he received full scholarship to study At African Leadership University becoming the first Kenyan beneficiary of Patoranking’s scholarship program.

The Kenyan was selected alongside 9 other students from different countries within Africa after a competitive application and review process that was advertised under the Patoranking-ALU partnership project.

The winners of this scholarship were announced on the artist’s official social media page where he congratulated them and confirmed that they will be joining the campus as undergraduate students from September 2020.

“After reviewing hundreds of applications from exceptional young people across Africa, we’re excited to announce that the inaugural Patoranking Scholars have been selected!” reads his post in part

Speaking on his prospects in regard to this opportunity, Emmanuel says through this chance, his plan is to empower other youths with a particular focus on marginalized areas.

“I am going to use this opportunity to empower youths in my community and other Africans from marginalized areas with digital skills and tools that will help them become self- sufficient” he stated

The scholarship will fully cater for tuition fee, accommodation, and other study-related costs. Other benefits for the scholars under this program include relocation allowance and annual living allowance.

ALU institutions are located in Mauritius and Rwanda but it is still unclear on the particular one that Emmanuel will be admitted to.

The Nigerian dancehall artist partnered with ALU for these scholarships so as to empower African youth faced with financial challenges by providing them with an opportunity that will push them towards achieving their dreams. Patoranking draws his inspiration from his own journey considering he came from a humble background.
