A cancer survivor has opened a cancer center in Kerugoya town, as a way of giving back to the society, after having survived the deadly disease less than a year ago.
William Warue made the decision to open a cancer facility for patients who find difficulty in travelling the distance to seek treatment. Warue, who was diagnosed with colon cancer last year, says that undergoing treatment in far away areas is a struggle for many.
His decision to open up the centre in the residential environment was to make it easier for patients to travel a short distance in order to get the help they needed.
