In a detailed post on Facebook, Wawira revealed that the family arrived at the decision to let their mother rest by agreeing to get her off the machine.

“The doctor says she has a 1 in a million chance of making it out of this situation and if she does, she will be in a vegetative state.

My family and I have decided to just let mom rest and we are taking her off the machine today.” she wrote in her post

Wawira further mentioned how her children were affected by their grandmother’s sudden demise as she expressed her gratitude and praised her late mom for being her anchor and for all the life lessons.
