Kenyan Woman Dies After Suffering Cardiac Arrest In Arizona


A Kenyan woman Miriam Wanjiru Njagi has been reported dead after suffering a cardiopulmonary arrest the day after Christmas.

The mother of four suffered the attack when she was with her son in a grocery store and was then rushed to the hospital.

According to her daughter Christine Wawira whom she has been living with for the past 2 months, doctors attempted to resuscitate her and put her on life support after getting her heartbeat.

In a detailed post on Facebook, Wawira revealed that the family arrived at the decision to let their mother rest by agreeing to get her off the machine.

“The doctor says she has a 1 in a million chance of making it out of this situation and if she does, she will be in a vegetative state.

My family and I have decided to just let mom rest and we are taking her off the machine today.” she wrote in her post

Wawira further mentioned how her children were affected by their grandmother’s sudden demise as she expressed her gratitude and praised her late mom for being her anchor and for all the life lessons.

As captured by other media reports, her family plans on laying her body to rest in Kenya.

The family is also receiving contributions to clear her ICU bills as well as serve as financial support.
