According to police, Jowie drove from Kilimani to Langata in white Kanzu that was stained with blood and took a shower. Jackie Maribe’s houshelp confirmed that after taking a shower, Jowie took a matchbox and a jerry can with paraffin and proceeded to a corner in the compound and burnt among other things the Kanzu he allegedly was wearing.

The police has so far collected the remaining parts of the Kanzu that did not burn up completely including ashes from the scene for more analysis.

Police have also recovered Monica’s mobile phones that were dumped in a water container by her killers and will be used as part of the evidence. A self-inflicted injury on Jowie’s chest might have been an attempted suicide mission by the suspect and the police are investigating the circumstances under which he sustained the injury.

Joe had failed to produce to the police the clothes he was wearing when he was allegedly shot, claims that are still under investigations. A live bullet was discovered under Maribe’s bed and could not explain how it ended up there since she is not a licensed gun holder.

A weapon that is suspected to have been used by Jowie was discovered in a neighbor’s house known as Brian Kasaine Spira who was later arrested and was found in possession of 50 bullets.
