Eliud Kipchoge promised a Ksh 20M brand new Isuzu if he wins Berlin Marathon

Eliud Kipchoge the Olympic marathon champion has been promised a new Isuzu D-Max from Isuzu East Africa if he manages to win the upcoming Berlin Marathon slated September 16, 2018 in Berlin,Germany.

The elite athlete has been partnering with the truck manufacturers from last year after signing a deal worth sh7 million and also getting a new D-Max pick up. Isuzu East Africa Chief Financial Officer Charles Kariuki hailed the athlete for his resilience and hard work.

“We have signed up with Eliud because over the years he has demonstrated strength, resilience and reliability in his reliability in his performance. He has not failed and that resonates well with our Isuzu D-Max that we are giving him,” said Kariuki. 

Isuzu Managing Director Kavashe Rita during the renewal of their partnership worth sh20 million said they were happy as a brand to work with Kipchoge due to his exemplary performance.

“Through his world class performances, he has demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience and reliability in the races he has participated in. We’ve seen great value in bringing together these two strong brands. We are proud to have Eliud as our Isuzu D-max Brand Ambassador,” said Rita. 

Kipchoge is excited about the opportunity and promised to deliver citing that he hopes the weather will be favorable in order to enable him to give a stunning performance. He also thanks Isuzu for being in the forefront support him in his career and called on other entities to follow suite.

“Their steadfast support to my running career sends the important message that major corporates have a significant role to play in sports building at all levels,” said Kipchoge 
Isuzu East Africa will also award the Olympic champion with an Isuzu luxury double-cab pickup valued at sh5.9 million if he breaks the marathon world record in any of his other international races.
