A recent football match between Tanzania and Uganda ended up spiking more than just football trash talk between die hard fans.
Diamond Platnuzm and his Ugandan ex-wife Zari Hassan, arguable most conspicuous brand ambassadors of their countries, poked fun of each other following Tanzanian’s 3-0 win in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Diamond, who dated Zari for four years and left her with two kids, took to social media to cheekily suggested that there was no way Uganda cranes could have beaten Taifa Stars.
“Kama Tuliwafunga Magoli ya watoto tutashindwa ya Mpira….Ebu Watagi Waganda wote hapa Chini waambie “Simba Kasema #TETEMA“#HappyAfcon #TwenzetuAfcon #AfconZamuYetu#HiiNiTanzaniaMpya,” Said Planmuz, sending a subliminal to his ex-wife.
As suggested, fans sure did tag Zari Hassan, who, now lives in South Africa.
She bashed Diamond in return saying he’s bragging with a win that was clearly handed to them. Uganda had already qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations set to go down in Egypt.
“Nisaidie kutag ma bogus wote, tell them we🇺🇬 already qualified for the African cup of nations. Manenos yakue madogo VIVA UGANDA #WoundedJonko #VillageExcitement #WeStillonTop#TemporyPost,” reads Zari Hassan post.
The two former lovers have been publicly exchanging words since their ugly split last year. Though both claim to have moved on, once in a while they have entertained their fans on social media by tearing each other apart.
Ugandans finished at the number one spot in group L with 13 points while Taifa Stars was second with 8 points.
Back at home, Kenya qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations after finishing second in Pool F after falling 1-0 to the Black Stars of Ghana, in Accra.
