National carrier Kenya airways (KQ) has cut back the number of flights on the recently launched Nairobi-New York route citing low demand during the winter season
According to Business Daily (BD), the airline has rescheduled flights for the period covering November to March next year.
A KQ official quoted by BD observed:
“The winter schedule for all our flights took effect from October 28th and will run until March 30, 2019. We cancel flights that are not commercially viable, so this is not unique to the route.”
The airline has already cancelled 10 flights that had been schedules on this new route.
