Normally labeled as the sexiest wife in the political circles, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua’s wife, Lilian Ng’ang’a, it’s not a secret, stands out.

She’s always praised by many of her exquisite fashion taste but recently things took a negative turn after she posted some photos on Instagram that fans weren’t too impressed with.

Reason, she was wearing a bikini.

People seemed really bothered that she stepped out in a bikini and accused her of submitting to Instagram pressure and conducting herself like a socialite.

They felt that as the wife of a ‘mheshimiwa’ she shouldn’t wear bikinis.

The Instagram post that go her in trouble

Maureen Makau wrote “Seriously, our county first lady. This is for socialites, not for you mum.” And mama_princenjihia chimed in with “Instagram pressure can make you forget your position.”

Others claimed, “Waa! Huyu ni bibi ya mheshimiwa? And they deserve respect????” and “Wueh..really mama county? ..aint hating but jo..lol”.

Some felt that she should wear something to cover up her body because she is married. lil_breezy_calebzzy wrote: “At least wear a shuka to coverup …leave that for single ladies…u making fisis drool hia n u fgn married.”

Some thought she was a socialite, “Are you a socialite???surely some photos not to be put here.”

After the series of attacks were shared in the comments, Ng’ang’a was forced to fight back.

“Lol Lol! Look at y’all up in here with your unsolicited opinions koz of a few pics in a swimsuit (which everyone wears or can wear!) Lighten up folks..direct your opinions to things that matter eg; the 4th Industrial revolution..climate change etc etc- you get the drift:)?! Oh, also IG has an Unfollow button..feel free:)!”

But some just didn’t care what she said:

“Lillian I don’t care what you say but higher standards are expected of you. Leadership is a calling, you must let some things go. Like posting bikini pics, it’s not ok no you can’t! Can you wear a bikini, yes by all means. Just not post a pic of you in a bikini for the world. If you had a private page with just friends it’s different.” saumu_br wrote before adding

“Screenshots have been taken ready for 2022! Bwanako asitwambie kitu na alioa “Malaya”. Society, not me. I rock my bikini and I can post it nikitaka, same standards not expected of me.”
